Ingredients
1cupgranulated sugar
1-1½tbspmolasses, unsulphured see notes
Instructions
Mix sugar and molasses together with a fork, pressing and mixing for a few minutes until it all comes together and there are no clumps of molasses. Start with 1 tablespoon of molasses and go from there to adjust to your preferences. Store in an airtight jar or container.
Notes
If you're unsure how much molasses you'd like to use, start with less and go from there. For a drier and lighter brown sugar use more sugar and less molasses. For a darker, richer, brown sugar add 1-2 tablespoons more. Mixing can take a few minutes to get going, continue to press and mix and it will all come together.
