It’s Shark Week, and we love having a little fun with this summer rum cocktail. With just a few ingredients, and a splash of grenadine for drama, this Shark Bite: Blood in the Water Cocktail is bloody delicious!
Get creative and have some fun with the grenadine effect. For example, fill up a glass with whole ice (enough ice where it’s overfilled) and slowly drop a spoonful of grenadine on top of the exposed ice – the syrup will spill down the ice, encircling the cocktail, then will pool at the bottom of the glass giving a dramatic effect.
Want more drama? Use a more syrupy grenadine, or homemade grenadine, for a thicker consistency that will spill down the ice ever so slowly, providing a more dramatic effect that will linger for a little longer before settling in at the bottom.
Or, tilt the glass to the side and just allow the grenadine to slowly drip down the inside of the glass to collect at the bottom of the cocktail.
However you do it, you can’t go wrong!
Have a different favorite blue cocktail you absolutely love? Feel free to use that recipe instead, any blue-colored drink will do, simply add the grenadine slowly at the end. Have fun shark week fans!
Cheers!
